» That looking glass again

…from Through the Looking Glass , but not such a bad outtake.
Thanks for all your comments on my site so far, it is very encouraging. I do really expect to update my blog often, because I have so many peripheral images to share, outside of my regular uploads on Flickr.

Nice. Welcome to the sphere.

I love this shot. It captures such a real sense of mundane and how we reach for accessories/peripherals to rise above it. “How shall I make myself pretty today?”

Natalie-
I’ve long been a shy admirer of you and your work on flickr (specifically your talent for expressing your playful, yet femme fatale-like spirit through your work). I hope you know you are going to be famous one day! (Not that you aren’t famous among the photobloggers and highly admired by many more already).
Congrats on the superb website! I think it is perfect for what you seem to be after, as it is simple, professional, and truly does an excelent job of highlighting your beautiful.
A bit of an off-topic question, but may I ask how you chose your name “Miss Aniela”? Please forgive me if you have answered this a thousand times before to your other fans.

What wonderful timing! The website looks very chic and, since our monopolist ISP here in the Emirates has decided once again to block access to Flickr I am really pleased to have an alternative way of keeping up with your photography.

My rejoicing was premature! I guess your gallery pages link through to images on Flickr, so for me they’re invisible. Curses! Hope you’ll occasionally include new photos as blog posts, as with “That looking glass again”.

I love this photo a lot too, as I like most of your work I’ve seen on Flickr. Your look and the colors are very serene and pure, great!! Also I would like to grab the opportunity to compliment you with your website, it looks beautiful and very classy!! Count me to your regular visitors, ’cause I’ll be back…
Keep up the great work!

RSS Saved.
Anyway - the thing I like about your photography is that you have completely, uniqe look on absolutely ordinary things. And that’s why your photos are great; ok - they’re technically good, they’re well manipulated and stuff - but still, the most important thing to me is that they are alive in absolutely different way than the other photos I see on daily basis.
Have you tried sending your work to http://www.mooncruise.com? I am sure they would accept it… To be published is a nice thing, try it
Good luck, A.

Kyle, Aniela is my middle name. I really don’t know how ‘Miss’ Aniela came into my head when I first set up my Flickr account, but I thought it sounded good…
Nice, because though it is my name, it is more obscure than using my first name.
Malcolm, so sorry that your access to Flickr is blocked.
On my Blog, I hope there will be enough interesting pics to entertain you.

Congrats on your website!!! It looks great and has a very good usability
(I mean its not all clutered or with flash all over the place like a LOT of photographer’s site)
I’d like to say that this photo is absolutly beautiful. You do have this sense of the details (pearl neckless, drawer, your pose…) that makes a picture more then it is. Something about it makes it feel more real as if I was in the same room and looking in the mirror to look at your reflexion.
Wish you all the good and what you trully want!
Kiss, Val

Photographs are playing cards, sometimes, but yours suggest phrases, paragraphs, begining or ends of a personal narrative and they have questo feeling di stopped frame that you wait for the return of the mouvement…Ciao!
