» A bit more grit

MONO.jpg

…for those who liked my last ‘gritty’ mono image. Here is another rather gritty one that reminds me somewhat of World War two footage reels. I don’t often show my work in mono but I always experiment with different saturations when playing around with an image, so it is nice to show a few on this blog. I may also toy with the idea of showing more of my ‘process’ on this blog, following someone’s suggestion. I hope it will make interesting viewing/reading.

    Hello Miss Aniela

I discovered your work two weeks ago and I really enjoy what you do ! I won’t be able to explain all what I think because my english is rather bad but many adjectives come to me : gracious, strange too, beautiful colours, so imaginative !

Really thank you for all this !

A great idea, and I have to say that by reducing the visual elements, your beauty is made all the more apparent. Sometimes we get wowed by the saturation and effects of your colour work (don’t get me wrong, that is not a bad thing), but when you return to a much more simpler monochrome, your own beauty dominates the image in a rather striking (and much more ‘real’) way.

    Thank you for sharing…

    Michael

Wonderful close portrait: the eyes look open to your soul.
I hope you do more black and white.

I have to say I’d become bored of photography until I stumbled across you flickr photos. You have made me want to dust of my camera. I’d love you to “showing more of your process on this blog” I cant imagine the time it must take to get such great results. But it’s so worth it.
