I am a U.K artist too with a website and a blog. With blogging I try to credit as much as possible and I'm a bit reluctant to add proper artist work without it. But once people put images on the web it's going to be downloaded one way or another, and I feel that as long as my own images carry the web address I'm always going to get a credit. Most people who try to protect their images are doing it for commercial reasons anyway, but others should feel that copying for pleasure is a form of compliment and endorsment of talent.
