My first three thoughts went something like this: Why is this titled “ode to a gull”? What’s in that picture she’s looking at? Hey, nice buns!
I hadn’t seen the gull photo before, and at this resolution it’s a bit hard to tell that that’s what it is. I have since checked it out in its full sized glory. Shooting moving targets well is hard and you bullseye’d that one. Nice work.

Hi Aniela,
This is one of my favorite pictures you! Sensual and soft lighting..old fashioned somewhat…a gorgeous picture!
I think my favorite photographers I’ve found via Flickr are you and Agnieszka!
Hope you’re having a wonderful weekend!

@ doug - ha thanks. No, not easy to shoot ‘moving targets’, but i find for me, i don’t know what the targets are till i get to the post-processing stage!
@ Heather - thank you!
I also admire Agnieszka’s work.

A great shot, no doubt whatsoever, though I rather prefer the version on Flickr (Ode to a Gull). The footsies don’t add to the overall effect, in this particular version (IMHO!); certainly, that sweet curve of your back shows to advantage in the Gull one.

While you have a nice tushie, my eyes are attracted to the curve of your back, and flow back to your feet. For focusing on the Gull photo, I have to agree with Justine the the edited one accomplishes that more.
But keep up the great work!

Just checking out your blog for the first time, I’ve had you as a friend on Flickr.com for some time though. Again, great work! I especially love how you masterfully turn a self portrait into a surreal, yet delicate and dramatic piece of art. Your images seem as if they could be oil paintings, so rich in texture, depth and subtle effects. This piece titled “My gull love affair” is such an example of the above mentioned. So delicate, yet dramatic. Look forward to seeing more!
